Christmas Message from Commissioner Sue Swanson

Come and see the Christ!

Greetings!

This year Women’s Ministries internationally had the theme Come and See.

We have celebrated the message the angel gave to Mary Magdalene and the other Mary at the empty tomb.

‘Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus who has been crucified. He is not here, for he has risen, just as he said. Come, see the place where he was lying. Go quickly and tell…’.

During this holy season I celebrate with you the amazing fact that Christ came to earth.

He became Immanuel, God with us. It is reality. In the midst of darkness, he is the Light of the World.

And because he came, I saw the possibility of salvation. His life, death and Resurrection conquer fear and darkness. And it is not only for me – it is for all!

The angel’s message is still a mighty invitation to all of us to come to Jesus – who came to us.

May our women’s ministries be a beacon of light inviting all to come and see Christ. Yes, be blessed by his birth, but also by his Resurrection life.
