The Shepherd and His Sheep - Part 11

The Lord is my Shepherd. I have everything I need.

What about the others? The lost sheep belong to my Shepherd. Who will help them find their way back? My Shepherd appoints shepherds to help.

He has called me by my name. I recognize the Shepherd’s voice. I am chosen to follow. Chosen to go and to “bear witness” to see how much He loves all the sheep. Chosen to tell what I have seen. I am chosen to help lead the lost sheep back to the Shepherd. Chosen to be an example of the way He takes care of His sheep. Chosen so others will know He is the Lord.

Shepherd, help me to be a good example so that the lost sheep will want to be close to you. Shepherd you live with us day and night. You invested your life in us. You did not run when our enemy, the lion, came looking for someone to devour. We are Your sheep and You are our Shepherd. Help me to live in such a way that the lost sheep will let You lead them.

Use my words, actions and prayers. Use my wool – all that I am and all I can offer for Your service is Yours - even if You need my life. Help me to be a faithful, living sacrifice for You Lord, my Shepherd.
