Raise Your Voice for Gender Equity

This is the year to raise our voices together for gender equity!

One of the questions we get asked most often is: What exactly is gender equity? So if you're not sure, you're not alone!

In God's creation story, we are all created to be equal and mutually share resources. But if everyone is given the same or equal resources, it doesn't mean we will all have equal outcomes.

Equity recognizes that each person has different circumstances, and allocates the resources and opportunities they need in order to achieve an equal outcome.* Equity gives us the building blocks to achieve real equality.

The powerful illustration above shows how the same 'building block' to stand on doesn't help everyone reach their goal. But, if we give each have the right 'building blocks', we all get a fair share.
